1. Data Controller
ClawVoice ("we," "us," or "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through our Service. Contact: support@clawvoice.com.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: Email, name, and password when you register.
API usage data: Request timestamps, character counts, IP addresses, and API Key identifiers for billing, abuse prevention, and service improvement.
Content you submit: Text sent via the API for TTS synthesis. We process this solely to generate audio and do not use it for training models or other purposes beyond providing the Service.
Payment data: Processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers; we receive transaction identifiers and billing information necessary for invoicing.
Technical data: Browser type, device information, and cookies as described in Section 7.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK, we process personal data based on: (a) Contract—to provide the Service you requested; (b) Legitimate interests—fraud prevention, security, and service improvement; (c) Legal obligation—where required by law; (d) Consent—where we expressly ask for it (e.g., marketing). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; process payments and prevent fraud; enforce our Terms; comply with legal obligations; and communicate with you about the Service. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content for marketing or share it with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.
5. Sharing & Third Parties
We may share data with: (a) Infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN) who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements; (b) Payment processors to complete transactions; (c) Legal authorities when required by law. We require processors to protect data and use it only for the purposes we specify. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your residence. For EEA/UK users, we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions) where required. You may request details of these safeguards by contacting support@clawvoice.com.
7. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations. API logs are typically retained for up to 12 months for billing and security. Content submitted for TTS is processed in real time and not retained beyond what is necessary for the request. You may request deletion of your data as described in Section 8.
8. Your Rights
GDPR (EEA/UK): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (e.g., your country's data protection authority).
CCPA/CPRA (California): California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising), and non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
Other jurisdictions: You may have additional rights under local law.
To exercise your rights, contact support@clawvoice.com or use the controls in your dashboard. We will respond within 30 days (or as required by applicable law). We may verify your identity before processing requests.
9. Do Not Sell or Share (CCPA)
We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may contact us to confirm this or exercise opt-out rights.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and security. We may use analytics cookies to improve the product; you can manage preferences via your browser or our cookie settings. We do not use cookies for advertising purposes.
12. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes & Contact
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date; we may also notify you by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. For questions, data requests, or complaints: support@clawvoice.com.
